Privacy Policy

How CalculateGravel handles your data: no accounts, no tracking cookies, no data sale. Calculator inputs stay in your browser, not on our servers.

Summary

CalculateGravel is built to do its job without collecting personal information about you. We don't require an account. We don't track you across the web. We don't sell anything to anyone.

Calculator data

The numbers you type into the calculator stay in your browser. We don't send them to a server. Sharing a calculator URL encodes your inputs in the URL itself — anyone with that link can see your inputs and results, but only because the link contains them, not because we stored anything.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and which aren't. The analytics tools we may use (Plausible Analytics or Google Analytics 4) collect aggregated, anonymized usage data — page views, country of origin, referrer, screen size. They don't identify you personally.

We don't use any tracking that requires consent banners under GDPR or CCPA. If we ever change that, we'll add a clear opt-in banner.

Cookies

We use only one local-storage entry — your dark-mode preference. It doesn't leave your device. There are no advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no third-party trackers.

Children

CalculateGravel is a general-audience reference site. We don't knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes

If we update this policy meaningfully, we'll change the "last updated" date above and post a note on the homepage for a week.

Calculator estimate disclaimer

The calculator and guides on this site provide estimates for informational and planning use only. Results depend on inputs you provide and on industry-average density values that vary ±5% by source quarry, moisture content, and gradation. Always verify final quantities with your supplier before placing an order. CalculateGravel is not responsible for over-orders, under-orders, or material costs based on the calculator's output.
